The Opportunity
We're looking for a Marketing & Culture Lead to join us in shaping how the world experiences Authentic — not just as a product, but as a presence.
This is a cross-functional role, working closely with founders and design team to define and execute thoughtful, strategic marketing initiatives. You’ll lead our efforts across content, partnerships, soft launches, and social media — helping to translate our values into cultural relevance and long-term resonance.
You should bring both strategic clarity and creative intuition — someone who understands what moves people, what earns trust, and what builds a brand over time.
Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute a flexible marketing roadmap aligned with product milestones and brand direction
Content & Campaigns: Plan and manage social content (X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), with a focus on clarity, timing, and tone
Partnerships: Identify and initiate collaborations with aligned creators, communities, KOLs, and brands
Launch & Growth Experiments: Support and shape soft launch strategies, invite loops, or small activations
Narrative Development: Help refine our brand language and external messaging in collaboration with design and founders
Research & Insight: Use data, trends, and intuition to inform decisions, while preserving brand integrity
Collaboration: Work closely with our design team to ensure visual and verbal coherence across all touchpoints
Requirements
Experience leading or contributing meaningfully to marketing at a startup or a cultural brand
Comfort with light to medium visual or video editing tools (Figma, Photoshop, CapCut, Canva, etc.) and ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with design team
Proficiency in both shaping strategy and executing day-to-day work
Talent in reading trends, staying up-to-date with online memes and culture, and understanding how to properly leverage them to enhance and represent the brand identity effectively
AI-fluent: You creatively leverage tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and other generative platforms to ideate, iterate, and execute
Excellent communicator, async-first, fluent in English (written and spoken)
Collaborative and kind: you care about healthy team culture, shared learning, and helping others grow
Mission-aligned: You resonate deeply with Authentic’s vision of meaningful connection and human-first social design
No degree required — just craft, curiosity, and character
Remote-friendly, with openness to occasional travel
Nice to Haves
Experience with early-stage launches, mobile applications, or social/consumer-facing products
Background in brand development, editorial, or partnerships
Personal or professional familiarity with privacy-conscious or design-focused digital spaces
Fluency in multiple languages and/or familiarity with various cultures to better engage with a global community
Trial First
We start with a 2-week paid trial period (can be extended) to get hands-on and see if we’re a good match.
Compensation
Competitive and negotiable rates—we’re most focused on finding the right teammate for the long term
Flexible structures: contract, part-time, or full-time
Long-term roles can include equity or performance-based incentives
